Hazard:

The gas tank can start leaking which poses a fire hazard.

 

How To Fix:

Owners of the Scag should stop using the recalled mowers immediately. Contact Scag Power Equipment of your local authorized deal for an immediate free repair. All registered known owners have been contacted thru the dealer network.

Description

Recalled on August 25th 2015 this recall involves two models of Scag Liberty-Z. The model and serial numbers are located on a vertical plate underneath the operators seat. On the plate below the seat "Scag" is printed in red letters, "Liberty Z" printed in white letters and there is also a blue "Z". The Scag Liberty Z has an orange frame with orange and black steering handles. Also the mowers front and rear wheels are black with orange rims.

 

Effected Models:

-Model SZL48-22KT with serial numbers ranging from K7100001 through K7102353.

-Model SZL52024KT with serial numbers ranging from K7100001 through K7202020.

 

Reported Injuries/Incidents:

There have been 5 reported incidents of leaky gas thanks and no injuries have been reported.

 

Sold At:

Scag Power Equipment authorized dealers nationwide from October 2014 to May 2015 for an MSRP of $4500.
